Do you simply want to take better pictures?
Or do you want to push through to the next level?
Are you about to embark on a once in a lifetime trip like your honeymoon or a safari and you’re struggling to come to grips with your camera?
When you’re out there is NOT the time to be wondering what the right setting is for the situation. Trust me - I learned that lesson the hard way! Read about that painful experience here
I have been teaching photography (officially) for 13 years. That all started when I was a patient at the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dun Laoghaire. I was there for four months and the lessons just evolved as something to do in the evenings with my fellow patients when our rehab was over for the day. I’ve been involved with the hospital ever since, teaching classes and collaborating on photo projects, competitions and exhibitions.
I’ve witnessed first hand how discovering an interest in photography can bring people back from the brink and change the course of their lives. To have played a small part in that transition for another person is an honour and a privilege.
People tell me I’m very patient and that I’m good at breaking concepts down so they’re easy to understand. I believe it’s because I genuinely love to teach and infect others with a little of the passion I feel for photography.
I especially love working with kids so if your son or daughter has a camera and an interest I’d be delighted to chat with them.
